AdminHistoryMary Street Board School opened in 1878 with accommodation for boys, girls and infants. Balsall Heath Road Board School closed on the opening of this school. It was the first permanent school in new buildings opened by the Kings Norton School Board. It was altered and reorganised 1930-33 into two departments for junior mixed and infant children. The premises were damaged by enemy action in 1940. The two departments were united in 1944. The school was renamed Belgrave Junior and Infant School in 1960. It closed in 1970 and was replaced by Heath Mount Junior and Infant School, Knutsford Street, Balsall Heath [S 268].
