AdminHistoryThe Cadbury Trusts were keenly interested in developments beyond their own family of trusts and charitable companies. They were eager to compare notes with other funders, including the Joseph Rowntree trusts and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and to provide financial support for associations dedicated to increasing the capacity of the charity sector at the local and national level.

In addition to administering grant making at the Cadbury Trusts administrators Anthony Wilson and Eric Adams were influential in the formation of the Charitable Trusts Administrators Group, the Citizen Organising Foundation, the West Midlands Community Trust and the Birmingham Charitable Trusts Group. They were also involved in the Foundations Forum and the related Foundations Forum Assistants' Group.

While the Cadbury Trusts provided some financial support to organisations represented in these records, the relationship was primarily a strategic and collaborative one rather than that between funder and grantee.
