AdminHistoryThe Midlands Chemists Committee was formed to coordinate the work of the Birmingham and District chemists societies. The membership of the committee consisted of nominated representatives of the Birmingham of Midlands branches of various bodies, including the Royal Institute of Chemistry, the Society of Chemical Industry, the British Association of Chemists, the Chemical Society and the Birmingham University Chemical Society. The Midlands Chemists Committee was apparently reconstituted in 1954-1955 as the Midlands Scientific and Technical Societies Programme Committee.
