AdminHistoryOliver Banwell (1877 - 1961) was a school teacher at Stirchley Street School, Boys Department. In 1917 he was imprisoned as a conscientious objector, but was later released and enlisted. The correspondence includes letters from his mother and brother and friends, letters to his mother from prison and camp, mostly 1917 - 1919.
