AdminHistory | J. E. Southall (1861-1944) was born in Nottingham and came to Birmingham in 1862; he was some years at boarding school, and in 1878 was articled to architects Martin and Chamberlain. His artwork was first exhibited at The Royal Academy in 1895. He was President of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. He was a Quaker, and lived at Charlotte Road, Edgbaston. |
