AdminHistoryGeorge Dixon Council Secondary Schools for Boys and Girls opened in 1906, later becoming County Grammar Schools. George Dixon Higher Grade School in Oozells Street closed when these schools opened [see S 80]. In 1976 the boys and girls Schools amalgamated to become the George Dixon Comprehensive School. This school closed in 1983.
