The minutes include notes of a conference held at the Council House on 24 August 1962 between the Chairmen and Chief Officers of the Health, Public Works, Salvage, Transport and Watch Committee on the subjects of litter and the emission of diesel fumes from vehicles (see minutes of sub-committee meeting of 26 August 1964 (minute 8) in minute volume BCC/1/AC/7/1/1).
