There are some records for Birmingham's police force held at the West Midlands Police Museum, although an appointment would need to be made to view any material held there. AdminHistoryBirmingham's police force was known as the Birmingham City Police from 1842 - 1974. After 1974 the force became the West Midlands Police, after which it fell under the jurisdiction of West Midlands County Council, 1974 - 1986, then the West Midlands Police Authority after 1986.
