The minutes of 26 January 1933 (minute 8) include a report on behalf of the Birmingham Information Bureau under the terms of the Local Authorities (Publicity) Act, 1931, on the growth in the number of local and national Industrial Development Organisations, and possible public relations and advertising opportunities to advertise the region's industrial facilities. There are also corresponding reports of the Manager of the Information Bureau to the Industrial Development Sub-Committee on the progress of these efforts, along with some brief tables of the bureau's expenses. |
