AdminHistoryThe Town Planning Sub-Committee was originally appointed in March 1910 to devise 'a town planning scheme for dealing with the parish of Quinton', after it became part of the City in 1909. This scheme was followed by further schemes for the parishes of Saltley, Washwood Heath, Ward End, Harborne, Edgbaston, Northfield and Kings Norton. In 1911, the function of this sub-committee was transferred to the newly created full-standing Town Planning Committee (see BCC/1/BL).
