| AdminHistory | The Priority of Expenditure Sub-Committee was established in July 1920 to consider and report to the main committee upon proposals of the various committees in the Corporation involving capital expenditure, in order to advise upon the funds available for the execution of works, and to make recommendations with regard to the disposal of such funds. During the war (November 1942), the sub-committee was merged with the Accounts and Annuities Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/AH/7), the Local Taxation and Licenses Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/AH/9), and the Rates Estimates Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/AH/13) to form the Accounts and Licenses Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/AH/14) In 1961, the Priorities of Expenditure element of this sub-committee had its own full committee established (see BCC/1/DB Priorities (Expenditure) Sub-Committee minutes). |
