| AdminHistory | The Accounts and Licenses Sub-Committee was formed during the Second World War in November 1942 from members of the existing Accounts and Annuities Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/AH/7), Local Taxation Licenses Sub-Committee (see BCC 1/AH/9), Priority of Expenditure Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/AH/12) and Rates Estimates Sub-Committee (see BCC 1/AH/13). Business was dealt with on a committee rota, which is why they are prefixed by either an ‘A’ or ‘B’. However, early minute numbers are unique, but later there are both an ‘A’ and a ‘B’ minute. In 1961, the Priorities of Expenditure element of this sub-committee had its own full committee established (see BCC/1/DB Priorities (Expenditure) Committee minutes). |
