| Description | The minutes are handwritten and signed by the committee chairman. The minutes are in the boxed, soft-back A5 book, entitled 'Assessment Sub-Committee 1869 - 1871', and stored in a blue box with the Assessment Sub-Committee minute book (see BCC/1/AH/3/1/1). The minutes include detailed reports as to the areas to be assessed, and related administrative details as to the methods used to collect the rates. There are also regular reports presented to the Finance Committee (referred to in the minutes as the Assessment, Rate and Appeals Committee) (see BCC/1/AK/1/1). There is also detailed financial information with regard to the rates themselves. |
