The minutes are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volume (see BCC/1/AM/26/1), and include details on the rents paid by individual municipal shops and kiosks; details of individual tenancies (including term of tenancy and amount paid in rent); petitions from shopkeepers complaining of paying excessive rents; reports of the City Estates Officer relating to the plans for municipal shops to be built in the city; and related financial information and other correspondence and papers. The minutes of 20 July 1966 include a report of the City Estates Officer concerning petitions made by residents, some of whom lived in the five new Redevelopment Areas, regarding the provision of shops on their estates, and the respective decision of the sub-committee as to whether the existing provision of shops in the area was appropriate or not (see minute 62 in BCC/1/AM/25/1/1). |
