| Description | The minutes are handwritten and signed by the committee chairman. The minutes are in uniformly titled minute volumes, and include detailed departmental accounts and statements of income and expenditure. There are also regular expenditure accounts relating to the Town Hall salaries and expenses (including electric lighting) and tenders for works carried out on municipal buildings. The minutes of 8 September 1897 include a detailed report of the City Surveyor dated September 1897 relating to the inspection of the existing heating apparatus in the Council House (see minutes 2579 - 2580 in BCC/1/AM/6/1/5) whilst those of 16 January and 3 February 1899 give a detailed report on proposed lighting works scheduled to be undertaken in the Council House (see minutes 2809 - 2810 and 2921 - 2923 in BCC/1/AM/6/1/5). These minutes relate more to the finance and maintenance of public buildings belonging to the Council.
