| AdminHistory | The Special Purposes Sub-Committee was appointed by the main committee in April 1942, generally meeting every few months. Its remit was very broad, as there were no other sub-committees reporting to the main committee when it first met. Its functions included financial business, salaries, building work, and it took over approving the contracts and dealing with other incidental matters regarding the new Toll Market at St Martin’s. In November 1966 the sub-committee changed its name to the Finance and General Purposes Sub-Committee. |
