| AdminHistory | This sub-committee was formed in March 1877, and was a joint committee comprising of representatives of the Markets and Fairs Committee and the various Railway Companies; chiefly the Midland Railway, Great Western Railway and the London North Western Railway. Its function was to report to the main committee and negotiate with the Railway Companies on questions of tolls on market produce sold at stations, or the condition of cattle and cattle trucks coming into the borough. |
