| Description | Some minute volumes indexed. The minutes are in handwritten and typescript format and signed by the committee Chairman. The minutes are in the appropriately titled minute volumes. The minutes dated August 1875 - March 1921 have their own separate index volumes (see BCC/1/AY/3/3/1 - 10) after which the volumes contain their own indexing systems. The minutes contain more detailed reports, tables and comments by engineers relating to proposed gas works in the city of Birmingham than the information contained in the main committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/AY/1/1), as well as associated accounts and correspondence. |
