AdminHistoryThe Buildings Sub-Committee was appointed in June 1910 to consider the proposed extension to the Municipal Technical School at Suffolk Street, Birmingham. These areas included the indoor facilities and fittings, floor plans and projected costs, which were drawn together in a report submitted by the architects, Messrs Nicol & Nicol, on 25 April 1912. The sub-committee met regularly, checking on the progress of the planning and design of the building, making recommendations for the continued lease of the Rosebery Buildings on John Bright Street, also suggesting safety precautions for the new building following a fire at the Day School chemical stores on 13 October 1913. The sub-committee appears to have been disbanded in April 1914.
