| Description | Volumes in this series appear to be a record of children who were maintained by the Board of Guardians and, later, the City Council, in institutions run by other organisations. It is unknown which department actually created these records, but as the Education Committee had responsibility for most of Birmingham children's homes, it is possible that it produced these registers as well.
