| AdminHistory | The Works Sub-Committee was formed in February 1935, and consisted of the chairmen of the main Public Health and Maternity and Child Welfare Committee and all the sub-committees, plus three other members. Its purpose was to advise the main committee on matters regarding the design, enlargement, erection or alteration of Public Health and Maternity and Child Welfare Committee buildings. The sub-committee was disbanded in July 1939, with some of its functions later transferred to the Finance and General Purposes Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/BM/5) and the Tuberculosis Sub-Committees (see BCC/1/BM/13). |
