| Description | Some minutes indexed. The minutes are printed and signed by the committee Chairman. Minutes BCC/1/BM/2/1/1 - 3 are in the uniformly titled minute volumes. Minutes BCC/1/BM/2/1/4 onwards are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/BM/14). The minutes include more detailed reports and information than that contained in the minutes of the main committee (see BCC/1/BM/1/1). The minutes refer mainly to city hospitals and sanatoria, but also include tenders for proposed works and information relating to the implementation of bye-laws, repair and demolition of properties, Common Lodging Houses, smoke and other emissions given out by factories and other industrial buildings in the city, disease, registration and inspection of canal boats, burial grounds, individuals and firms registered to sell drugs and other chemicals, information relating to the registration of eating houses and licensed premises, staffing, and general accounts and statements of income and expenditure. The minutes of 3 January 1912 also include a detailed printed report regarding the treatment of tuberculosis in the city at the time (see minutes 46 - 47 in BCC/1/BM/2/1/2). |
