| AdminHistory | This sub-committee was formed in November 1911, and consisted of eight members of the Public Health and Housing Committee. The Housing Committee had been merged with the Health Committee in 1911, and taken over its functions, with this sub-committee being delegated with the task of advising the main committee on housing issues. Its main function was to visit properties and to recommend a scheme of repair, closure or demolition, under the provisions of the Housing of the Workers Class Act, 1890, and the Housing and Town Planning Act, 1909. |
