| AdminHistory | The Sanitary Sub-Committee was formed in June 1922, and consisted of seven members of the main Public Health Committee. Its function was to report on the overcrowding, sanitary conditions and the need for repairs and renovations to slum properties in Birmingham. In November 1929, the sub-committee was amalgamated with the Health Sub-Committee, that had lost its hospital and homes functions, to form the Public Health and Sanitary Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/BM/9). |
