| AdminHistory | In November 1945, the General Purposes Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/BO/2) and the Finance Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/BO/3) were merged. The new body took over its predecessors key roles, namely advising the main Parks Committee on matters relating to new sites, extensions and the layout of parks, town planning, games within parks and on financial matters. In June 1967, the sub-committee was merged with the Cemeteries and Crematoria Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/BO/5) and the Sites and Buildings Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/BO/13) to form a new Standing Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/BO/18). |
