| Description | Minutes indexed. The minutes are printed and signed by the committee Chairman. Minutes BCC/1/BO/3/1/1 - 2 are in the volumes entitled 'Finance Sub-Committee Minute Book'. Minutes BCC/1/BO/3/1/3 - 12 are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/BO/19). The minutes include reports of the City Treasurer detailing interim accounts for the finance of parks, cemeteries, wages and (in the minutes for the early 1920s and 1930s) relief works for the unemployed. There is also detailed information relating to the accounts for the cultivation of land, general departmental transactions, present nominal accounts, and more detailed tenders for works, accounts and statements of predicted and actual annual income and expenditure than that contained interleaved with the main committee minutes. There are also lists of departmental accountancy and other (mostly non-manual) staff detailing basic salaries, bonuses and a few descriptions of duties. |
