Minutes BCC/1/BO/5/1/2 - 18 are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/BO/19). The minutes include detailed reports relating to the maintenance, finance and staffing of cemeteries in the city of Birmingham, tables detailing numbers of interments and cremations (with receipts), tables of cremation and cemetery fees, detailed reports on examinations of sites, including descriptions of the layout and management of cemeteries and crematoria, and related accounts, correspondence and other papers. The minutes of 26 September 1938 include a report concerning the advisory service granted by Witton Cemetery with regard to the upkeep of the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation cemeteries in Witton (see minute 2307 in BCC/1/BO/5/1/11). |
