| Description | The minutes are printed and signed by the committee Chairman. Minutes BCC/1/BP/5/1/1 - 2 are in the uniformly titled minute volumes. Minutes BCC/1/BP/5/1/3 onwards are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/BP/7). In October 1938 an error occurred in the minute sequence. After minute 1455 the first two digits were transposed to make 4156 and all subsequent minutes follow on from this (see BCC/1/BP/5/1/13). The minutes include more detailed departmental accounts and statements of income and expenditure than those contained in the minutes of the main committee (see BCC/1/BP/1/1), including costs of heating, lighting, cleaning and rents major buildings (i.e. Pitman Buildings), requisitions for the ordering of stores, lists of householders and businesses contributing half-costs towards the provision of dustbins, and related correspondence and papers. |
