Minutes BCC/1/BQ/2/1/1 are bound in the John Feeney Bequest Fund Special Sub-Committee volume, containing Special Sub-Committees minutes, and labelled as such on the reverse side (see BCC/1/BQ/9/1/1).The remaining minutes of this sub-committee (BCC/1/BQ/2/1/2 onwards) in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/BQ/8). The minutes mainly comprise details of paintings and objects submitted to the sub-committee by the Keeper of the Museum and Art Gallery for acquisition, with payments authorised from the Feeney Bequest Fund. The minutes of 18 June 1928 also include an interleaved report with reference to the John Feeney and Alfred Leadbetter Bequest Funds, which details the origins of the two funds and the dates, descriptions and value of various purchases made from the fund during the period December 1919 - March 1928 (minutes 1 - 2 in BCC/1/BQ/2/1/2), whilst there are further lists of purchases made from various funds in the minutes following this date. |
