| AdminHistory | The Grading and Remuneration Sub-Committee was formed in December 1922, originally to consider and report on the general question of grading and remuneration of non-manual employees, with a view to obtaining from the Council the authority to proceed with the preparation of a grading scheme. By December 1924, it was just described as a special purposes sub-committee. The sub-committee liaised with the Municipal Officers’ Guild. The sub-committee was retained to look at other aspects of staffing, such as educational requirements and professional examination grants, staff outings and incremental pay. |
