| AdminHistory | The Maternity and Child Welfare Sub-Committee originally reported to the Public Health and Housing Committee, and containing when the main committee became the Public Health Committee in June 1917 (see BCC/1/BM). After January 1921 it reported to the new Maternity and Child Welfare Committee. The sub-committee consisted of six members of the main committee, although this later increased to nine. Its main function was to advise the parent committee on all matters relating to maternity and infant welfare. This sub-committee continued after 1933 as a sub-committee under the Public Health and Maternity and Child Welfare Committee (see BCC/1/BM/10). |
