| AdminHistory | Also called the Officials’ Advisory Committee, this committee was formed in 1922 from a sub-committee of the General Purposes Committee (see BCC/1/AG). It continued to report, by way of the Contracts and Stores Sub-Committee, to the General Purposes Committee. Its main function was to advise the Stores and Contracts Sub-Committee as to the stores and materials that could be collectively purchased and which standing committees were best placed to order stores. After a report by the Working Party of the Contracts and Stores Sub-Committee in 1963, the committee was discontinued, and a Central Purchasing Advisory Committee was substituted in its place (see BCC/1/DC). |
