AccessConditionsThe records of the Rate Collection Sub-Committee contain confidential personal information, including the names and addresses of occupants of premises, and the details of defaulters. The records have therefore been closed for 80 years, in compliance with the Data Protection Act, 1998.
AdminHistoryThe Rate Collection Sub-Committee was appointed in April 1927. Its main function was to advise the Rating and Valuation Committee on all matters to do with the collection and recovery of the rates. In May 1962, this sub-committee reported to the Finance Committee (see BCC/1/AH/17).
