The records of the Accounts and Valuations Sub-Committee are bound with the minutes of other sub-committees that contain confidential personal information, including the names and addresses of occupants of premises, and the details of defaulters. The records have therefore been closed for 80 years, in compliance with the Data Protection Act, 1998.

The function of this short lived sub-committee was to advise the main Finance Committee concerning the valuation of properties in the City, and to examine and certify accounts prior to their transmission to the full committee.
