| AdminHistory | The Air Raid Shelters Sub-Committee was established in the re-organisation of the Sub-Committees in November, 1941. It consisted of members of the main committee. Its purpose was to ensure adequate public and domestic shelters available in all parts of the city; to be responsible for the construction, maintenance, cleansing and inspection of public and domestic shelters; and the provision of amenities, feeding facilities and first aid posts in shelters. The Sub-Committee was disbanded after the Second World War. |
