| AdminHistory | The Wardens and Fire Guards Sub-Committee was established during the re-organisation of the sub-committees in November 1941. It consisted of seven main committee members, and was formed from the existing Wardens Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/CK/2). Its purpose was to continue to give public instruction and advice regarding Air Raid Precautions, as its predecessor had done, but now had the additional responsibility of organising and training fire parties for each Air Raid Precaution section. To help with this a number of police officers were seconded to civil defence duties. The sub-committee was disbanded after the Second World War. |
