| Description | The minutes are printed and signed by the committee Chairman. The minutes are in the combined sub-committee volume BCC/1/CR/7/1/1. There is far more detailed information than in the minutes of the main committee (see BCC/1/CR/1/1), including staffing, operational or logistical, in the provision of the restaurant service and the maintenance of the buildings and facilities. Minute 98 of a meeting dated 11 February 1948 denotes an enclosed publicity pamphlet (interleaved no. 6) giving a brief history of the Civic Restaurants from the outset of the Battle of Britain, 1940, and the aims and remit of the service. |
