| AdminHistory | This sub-committee was established in March 1949, taking over most of the functions of the disbanded Tuberculosis Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/CS/6). The sub-committee consisted of eleven members. After July 1948, the National Health Service took over the Tuberculosis Centre and Mass Radiography Centre and the Local Authority involvement in Tuberculosis effectively ceased. This sub-committee looked at Tuberculosis as a disease and the after-care, transportation, and other welfare issues of patients. The Sub-Committee appears to have been disestablished in May 1957. |
