The sub-committee minutes contain a numbering error in June 1964, where the minute 6256 was followed by 9257. The minutes include the reports of the Chief Housing Inspector (which relate to areas of public health and housing legislation as it affected children, including the serving of statutory notices, the management of houses in designated improvement areas, management of houses in multiple occupation, the provision of grants for home improvement purposes and compliance of householders with public health directives), the reports of the Chief Medical Officer of Health relating to areas of childcare such as nursing and midwifery, the care of disabled children, nurseries and mother and baby homes, analyses of children on registers and the employment, expenses and remuneration of midwives and district nurses) and reports of the sub-committee accountant.
