The minutes include lists of Delegations and Instructions concerning the statutory responsibilities and obligations of the sub-committee with regard to the running of the department and the nurseries in its care, sub-committee reports detailing the organisation, staffing, resourcing and finance of the various nurseries that fell under the care of the sub-committee, reports of the doctors, matrons, superintendents and wardens of the various institutions, and other more general information relating to the maintenance of buildings, resourcing, staffing and finance. The minutes of 27 April 1962 include a plan of The Oaklands residential nursery, with surrounding grounds and lands (see minute 3047 in BCC/1/CT/9/1/5) and there are plans of individual buildings in other sub-committee minutes. |
