| AdminHistory | The Building Licenses Sub-Committee was appointed in November 1950, and comprised of three members of the main committee. Its function was to initially discuss the practice of issuing private building licences, as the system was open to abuse. The function of the sub-committee eventually changed to the actual issuing of such licences; however, the sub-committee ceased to exist in November 1952, and within two years the Council had set up its own Building Department. |
