| AdminHistory | In May 1971 a Smallholdings Committee was re-established under the Agriculture Acts of 1947 and 1970. The function of the committee was to take charge of the Canwell Estate and to have charge of, and manage, all land under the ownership of the Corporation reserved or intended to be reserved as permanent green belt land or designated rural areas restricted against ordinary building. The land could be put to recreational use, but not be under the charge of any other committee. |
