AdminHistoryThis was a joint committee, meeting annually, comprising representatives of the Birmingham County Borough and other County Boroughs, County Councils, Municipal Boroughs, Urban District Councils, Rural District Councils and Government Ministries. The committee was formed some time prior to 1927. Its function was to advise on the promotion, co-ordination and linking up of planning schemes in the area, to offer any suggestions as to improvements in town planning and arbitrate on any matters of difference between Planning Authorities. The Council continued in operation after 1944, being reconstituted as the Warwickshire, Worcestershire and South Staffordshire Advisory Planning Council in 1946, although Birmingham City Archives do not currently hold the minutes for this new committee.
