| Description | The minutes are handwritten and signed by the committee Chairman. The minute books contain the minutes for both the Hospital Reform Committee (BCC/1/FA/1/1/2) and the conference from which it was appointed, and to which it was to report (BCC/1/FA/1/1/1). Minute volume BCC/1/FA/1/1/1 includes a quantity of loose and attached ephemera, including a list of persons appointed to the conference on the invitation of the Lord Mayor, a list of representatives appointed by the medical profession, a copy of an article from the 'Birmingham Daily Post' entitled 'Hospital Abuse In Birmingham' dated 16 January 1890, a printed copy of a questionnaire sent out to Birmingham hospitals as part of the consultation process (with replies), a list of names and addresses of members of the Executive Committee, and four copies of a report of the Hospital Reform Enquiry Committee dated 1891. The minutes also include printed copies of other reports and related correspondence and papers. |
