| Description | The minutes are printed and signed by the committee Chairman. The minutes are in the uniformly titled minute volume. The minutes include tables of income and expenditure for the various voluntary hospitals which fell under the remit of the committee and a copy of a memorandum issued by the Voluntary Hospitals Commission for the guidance of local committees (see minutes of meeting of 11 March 1922, minutes 3 - 4, in BCC/1/FC/1/1/1), as well as other associated correspondence and papers. The minutes also include a copy of a report of the House Building Sub-Committee approved by the Public Works and Town Planning Committee regarding a report of the Joint Committee set up by the government to deal with the housing programme. There is also a typescript report concerning the employment of bricklayers, although the first page is missing and it is not clear exactly when it was written. |
