| Description | Volumes in this series contain notes made by senior Forhill staff on a daily basis. Early volumes appear to contain unstructured notes which have been jotted down. Later volumes contain notes made in a list format, which appear to have been made to inform staff on the next shift of daily events. They contain information on what happened in the home each day, notes on the boys in residence, reminders of tasks to be done, requests to colleagues, personnel matters, and so on. Many entries contain the writer's candid personal opinions about the boys, other staff, and the social services department. |
