| Description | This volume is marked 'register of children and young people in remand home', but the pre-printed forms in the volume have not been used. Instead, the alphabetical index section has been used to make notes on the residents of the home. There is no set format to entries but they usually give the resident's name, date of birth, date admitted, previous address, and then notes on whether they were boarded out, returned to parents, gone on to employment, etc. Entries are mostly in alphabetical order by surname but occasional entries have been alphabetised by first name. |
