| Description | This volume contains reports submitted to the sub-committee with responsibility for the hostel. The reports were initially made monthly, and later bi-monthly. Each report gives the number of girls in the hostel, showing the number in training, in situations and at school; girls admitted to the hostel since the last report, showing the date, name, age, and where admitted from; girls discharged from the hostel since the last report, showing the date, name, age, and where discharged to; the matron's report; and remarks [from the sub-committee]. The report column gives a fairly detailed account of the illnesses and other problems of the girls and the hostel in general, and the matron's opinions of them. |
