DescriptionArtist unknown, numbered '19' in pencil. Additional notes on the page state that the casket bears the coat of arms of the University of Birmingham on the back, in the same style as the city arms on the front. The plan includes a detail of sunk gilt panel for engraving. The casket was presented to Sydney Vernon (retiring Pro-Chancellor of the University of Birmingham) by Alderman Ann Marie Howes by the Alderman J.R.
