| Description | The Engineering Visitors committee appears to have been founded around 1886, under the authority of the House sub-committee, and following the disbanding of the Engineering sub-committee (see GP B/2/10/2, above). Consisting of four Guardians, it was the committee's task to supervise the management of the boilers and hot water apparatus throughout the Union premises, along with all the work connected with the engineers department.
The volume contains details on all of the above duties, during the period 1893-1897. It is unclear when the committee finished operating, but it had certainly ceased by 1900 when the Engineering sub-committee was reformed. |
